Have you ever wondered why our ancestors have slimmer bodies and longer lives? It all boils down to simple living wherein people consume nutritious food, had enough exercise, active daily activities, and lesser stress. Now let’s talk about exercise. We all agree that it’s really hard finding time to engage in exercise since we are too busy with work, our children, and many other important things we need to do everyday, but we can still exercise without us even noticing it, as long as we have the heart to start doing it, so it becomes a part of our daily routine. Upon waking up in the morning, it’s but natural for us to engage in movements, and it will not harm doing some a little bit of stretching. If you are at work, take the staircase instead of the elevator, asking some colleagues to do the same, and it will surely give you some sort of cardio workout. If you are a mother attending to the needs of your family and doing all the household chores, you just have to do the work manually as much as possible, as a form of exercise, such as washing the dishes and washing some of your delicate clothes.
In terms of diet regimen, nothing beats weight loss than being aware of the food we eat by changing our poor eating habits starting from selecting the most nutritious, whole, more fiber, less processed, and less refined foods. Instead of grabbing soda, chips, chocolate bars, and noodles, select easy to peel, sliced and eat foods like berries, grapes, banana, apples, and oranges, which can keep you going while you’re on the go. Never eat while you’re in front of TV because watching your favorite shows will take away your attention from the time and amount of food you’re munching. Don’t deprive yourself too much, you can consume your favorite food in moderation, and avoid stocking food in your fridge which will entice you to try them not until they’re all consumed.
